How Windows update works in Windows 10? plus some other problems
After installing Windows 10, I immediately looked for available updates. Surprisingly, there were new ones available. However, I wasn’t sure which ones to download or when. Windows was configured to automatically handle updates without my input. It’s possible this could trigger downloads during online gaming or streaming. Would it be possible to adjust Windows so it prompts me before installing updates, similar to Windows 7? Additionally, my USB keyboard remains inactive unless I press any keys. Even then, it powers back on instantly. The power settings for USB devices were changed to prevent shutdowns, but the issue continues. Any suggestions or solutions would be appreciated. In Windows 7 it worked fine. Also, could forum moderators help by creating a dedicated thread for Windows 10 problems? This would make it easier to find answers for issues that might impact many users.
Windows 10 Pro only postpones updates, not skips them or lets you download them yourself. It still auto-downloads and installs, but it takes a few extra weeks beyond normal. This helps keep everyone updated and fixes issues, since the number of problems people report to Microsoft is extremely high.
I wasn't aware of that, I assumed you could choose which one to install.
I don't think, but perhaps I'll keep you updated. I have 10pro and will let you know when an update arrives.
