Should I turn my CPU cooler fans all the way up before or just keep them on automatic while running Prime95's small FFTs for a heat test?

If you don't run with your fans at full speed, I'll let them stay where they are usually left.

The computer gets hot and the inside of the box heats up too. The motherboards fans spin faster just because that's what it wants to do. Only one reason is needed for manual control: if your case has a fan controller attached, like a button or switch you can move on your own. If the fans are plugged into the motherboard instead, they will always follow its instructions automatically.
