my laptop, a dell inspiron 5548, has an intel core i5 5200u @2.2gHz and checking online on intel's website, using turbo boost the processor can clock up to 2.7 gHz. So how do I enable turbo boost because even when playing dark souls 3 and while checking task manager it runs at the highest i've seen the processor at was 1.6 or 1.7 gHz? i'm trying to get more performance from it to run the game.

If the laptop supports it, it operates automatically, unless you disable it in the BIOS settings. It switches to turbo mode as required.

Usually it functions best when the PC is well-cooled, and this should be an automatic CPU feature. It's improbable to activate in a game since the CPU won't be sufficiently cool.

Generally, turbo boost won't activate unless the laptop is connected to a power source and operating in high-performance mode.

Are you checking the task manager due to incorrect speed? You should use cpuz. With both cores active, you'd only achieve 2.5.

I want it scaled to 4k, so many hardware monitors are so small now. I need a magnifying glass to read them.
800 mhz, okay... that’s roughly the right speed for a quad-core processor just to run slightly faster than the PC I had 14 years ago... I think it’s idle and jumps to 3.8 ghz when needed.
