Hi.
My son accidentally disabled the mouse by pressing some buttons. The mouse lights are on because it's wired. It works when connected to another computer, but USB ports function properly. Pilots and Windows updates were applied. Any plugged-in mouse doesn't work. I'm using Windows 10 on a desktop. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!

Creating and model of the mouse?
Will it function when booted into Safe Mode?
Consider using the built-in Windows Troubleshooters. They might identify and resolve issues.
Download the mouse drivers directly from the manufacturer's site. Reinstall and adjust settings.
Avoid third-party tools or installers.

Open Device Manager, press Ctrl-Esc or use Windows key to access Start Menu, tab through items, delete all mice, then restart. Know the usual keyboard shortcuts for navigation (Ctrl-Esc, Windows key, Tab, Alt for menu options, space for selection).
