Based on this, I think my system automatically selects the appropriate AMD card. There doesn't seem to be an option to choose one or the other in the Graphics driver settings platform.

most laptops rely on the GPU during games and will operate using igpu otherwise. Which Asus model are you referring to? Are you using the newest BIOS? Not at all, I've updated both.

The ftpm menu in the asus motherboard bios is located in the advanced section, though it's common for bios in laptops to lack features found on full-size motherboards. I haven't seen anything else besides other users reporting the same issue.

It seems unlikely you'll be able to get the laptop to run anything besides igpu in windows. I've noticed this with userbenchmark results.

There might be new chipset drivers available, but the latest bios and chipset drivers for Asus have been out of date for about two years. You could try running this and check what it detects.

I tested it (I've actually run this several times before) and it indicated that the AMD Software version already works well. Please verify if the AMD Display driver is functioning properly.
