Hello !
I've adjusted my Fx 6300 to 4.2Ghz on MSI 970 Gaming but it's not stable there, causing freezing issues. I tried increasing it to 4.5Ghz but still experience freezes, especially when opening My Computer. Could you help me resolve this problem?

you have solid hardware, so it's ready to proceed. follow the guide provided above—it will be very useful, even though the principles apply to another motherboard. before you start, stress test your CPU with stock settings. this will give you a clearer understanding of the available headroom for voltage and clock adjustments. aim to maintain temperatures around 60°C at all times. if stress testing with Prime95 consistently causes errors, consider using alternative software like AIDA64, OCCT, or Intel BurnTest.

Hello !
I have adjusted my Fx 6300 on MSI 970 Gaming to 4.2Ghz but it causes freezing and slow performance. I haven't found a stable setting at that speed and experience issues when opening My Computer. Could you help me with this issue?
If the system freezes at 4.2Ghz, it's likely a stability problem rather than a performance one. It seems your CPU voltage might be too low or the overclock isn't reliable. I'm planning to share a helpful guide on overclocking FX processors after reviewing it.

You're just starting out with overclocking and unsure about adjusting the voltage and settings in MSI 970. It's normal to feel uncertain after watching videos. Make sure you follow proper guidelines and test gradually to avoid issues.

I checked the stock settings and it shows 15~30 FPS in FarCry 4 with Low Settings at 1920*1080. This is unexpected. Also, I’m confused about the guide—how can I adjust the voltage on my MSI? I need more information from a video.

I checked the stock settings and they show 15~30 FPS in FarCry 4 with Low Settings at 1920*1080. I’m confused about how this is happening. Also, I don’t understand the guide on changing the voltage for my MSI board; I was looking for a video to clarify. With an MSI board, you should click left on the [AUTO] option and select +0.000000 to switch off auto voltage and set it manually. If you want to raise the voltage, increase by one setting at a time, remembering you can only adjust by one setting at once.

you're really excited about overclocking, but you lack patience! it doesn't happen instantly! do you have a temperature tracker? it's very easy to use, but you still need to invest some time with the UEFI BIOS!
