Your signal is weak because the router is in another room. Try moving closer to it or using a stronger router. You could also add more antennas or change the position for better coverage.

Thanks for your feedback. Here are your points rephrased:

1. This product seems appropriate for your needs based on your current internet speed.
2. Yes, you can connect it directly via Ethernet instead of relying on Wi-Fi.

10 meters – Not here, I’m thinking about running a cable to the router but there’s no money and I don’t know what a cable plug looks like.

If you manage to get a CAT6 cable and connect it to your room, then search for a router. I tend to choose TP Link as my preferred brand for networking. You can check their site at https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networki...tl-wr940n/. It’s a solid choice, reliable, and affordable. Setting it up once works well without needing a reboot. I’ve had stable Wi-Fi with three of these devices already.

Consider replacing the WiFi extender with a new router and connecting it via Ethernet for better performance.

I investigated more thoroughly and it seems an Access Point is required, not the alternatives proposed. Thank you for your careful research before deciding to buy.

You can transform a regular router into an AP by turning off features like DHCP, DNS, NAT, etc., and avoiding the WAN port. Instead, purchasing a dedicated access point is recommended for improved coverage and to avoid unnecessary interference.
