Your motherboard is failing and you're about to file an RMA. Since your CPU has those delicate pins, storing it upside down in a secure spot might be okay as long as it's protected from damage. Just make sure it stays dry and away from heat sources until you can get proper handling.

When left completely upside down, issues shouldn't arise *I'm not responsible for any harm you might face*

You can look for one of these on eBay or similar sites in Brazil; it's called CPU clam-shell and it should be AMD, not Intel. Once you find it, just check the price.

Place the item inside a box, matching its dimensions to the CPU size. Store it in a secure location protected from damage. Done!

I placed it upside down in a sealed plastic container, kept it inside my case, and ensured it wasn't exposed to direct sunlight. That should be fine—it will last around two weeks before I need to return it for a replacement.

It's a processor, not a vampire, but better to be cautious! Personally, I rely on them often—it seems they're built specifically for storing CPUs.

It's not the most secure option, but as long as you don't drop it, you should be okay. I wouldn't really try it myself—I'd just purchase an affordable CPU case with a clamshell design. Edit: these tend to be very budget-friendly, so go for the box if your motherboard arrives quickly. But if it takes a few days or more, skip it.

Hahahaha, I discarded my box, had to make up my own moves, and considering how expensive hardware is in Brazil, a Ryzen 7 feels like a huge investment—really spooked me about damaging it.

I secured it within my case, making it protected from accidental drops, and I cleaned the pot with alcohol before inserting the CPU just to be cautious.
