You can achieve this by setting up a dual-boot configuration that includes Kali Linux alongside your OSX installation. Use boot camp to create a bootable USB, then format the hard drive with a balanced partition layout (e.g., 50% Linux, 50% macOS). This way, you’ll retain your Mac experience while running Kali. Good luck!

I managed to get it running initially, but the Wi-Fi stopped working. I had to install Debian and then upgrade it to Kali.

You can find guidance on the Debian Wiki about running Linux on your Mac. I wasn’t able to get Linux working due to the suspend feature. 2. Avoid installing Kali; use it as a live CD or set it up in a virtual machine. You’ll likely discover many reasons for this approach.

Using a VM with a standard OS and logging in as root poses serious risks.
