Looking for guidance on resetting the Asus z97 Maximius Ranger iiv to factory settings? I attempted overclocking but the system freezes or crashes during 4K gaming.

Hello... Take out the MB battery and perform a CMOS clear or reset for about 2 minutes, then reinsert the battery and restart. The next boot will use BIO's defaults. It's suggested to remove your GPU if you have an Intel CPU/IGT; otherwise, the Default Display output will remain MB with the CPU/IGT until you revert it back to "Ext PCIe/GPU in the BIO's (save&exit)".

I removed the CMOS battery and reset everything, then restarted it. Now I have a stock speed of 3.5ghz, which works better. I attempted to overclock further but it became too hot, and I've reached a maximum of 4.2ghz.
