I was running a dual boot between Ubuntu and Windows 11. I removed my Ubuntu partition since I no longer needed it, leaving me with 250 gb of unallocated space. Attempts to expand the other drive's partition failed due to insufficient space. I formatted the Windows side of the drive, but that didn’t help either. Then I tried converting the unallocated area into a separate Windows partition and merging them, though it still reported lack of space. Even trying with just 10 MB didn’t resolve the issue. I’m not sure how to search for this problem further because most results seem to focus on merging two separate drives rather than combining partitions on one drive.

I'm attempting to restore disk 1 as a single complete disk once more.

I've already adjusted the formatting, so you won't lose any information. There were just games available. I can re-download them for you.

Power down and remove the device physically.
Does the system start without it?
If yes, reconnect and clear all current partitions on Disk 1, making it empty.
Create a new simple volume, format it, assign a drive letter.

Oh no, I'm really confused. Thanks. The Windows version is on my other drive. I got stuck trying to merge them and didn't consider it. I should have taken a break until tomorrow. Appreciate the help again.

Yes, Windows is on the other drive.
I requested the disconnect test because of the tiny EFI partition on Disk 1.
It's unlikely to be the small boot partition required, but checking and confirming is always advisable.

Disconnect passed and when I followed what you advised I couldn't delete the EFI partition and kept facing the same issue. I was hoping to add my solution later if necessary.
