I'm trying to remove an EFI partition from a backup drive to merge it into one continuous drive. I've used various DiskPart commands and received a message saying it's not supported. Do you know if there are alternative commands I can try to fix the issue?

That's correct. I am attempting to eliminate the EFI partition so that my M.2 drive appears as it did when I bought it. (contiguous)

So....
Verify, in your BIOS boot order, that you are booting from Disk 0.
Then, commandline diskpart and the clean command on Disk 2 should wipe that entire drive.
Be absolutely sure what drive you're working with, because there is no coming back.

I am working on "0"
I will attempt the suggestions you are proposing, "clean?" I will report any positive actions. otherwise, I will consider exploring an alternative route. Not sure if I have used the "clean" command much. Thank you for your time and expertise.
