So this "app" silently installed on my pc 3 days ago... i immediately noticed something is off with paint 3D (weird flashing colors while opening, it also takes a bit longer to open now) It either installed itself automatically, was installed by Macrium Reflect (which would totally fit in with the date and Macrium devs are definitely the "we know everything better" type) or it happened when i accidentally clicked on One Drive - noticed this long ago that always triggering some weird update process, i really need to stop doing that, although tbf it happens very rarely - btw jfyi, clicking on One Drive does visibly nothing, i suppose it doesn't open because windows updates are turned off - the same thing happens when i click on, well, "windows update" - so far so good, but now I have this webview2 thing and i need to get rid of it... maybe uninstalling would be enough (its not greyed out) but otherwise i would probably need to know the file location and, ahem... "disable" it manually? Also removing Microsoft Edge update from startup didn't fix it, i suppose it's two different services or webview2 just starts delayed? Should I remove Microsoft Edge update service completely? (note the date, the two are most definitely related...) But yeah, i have to get rid of "Microsoft Edge webview2 runtime" for sure, because i use paint 3D a lot and the flashing colors are insufferable... and i have no use for this service whatsoever, my pc ran just fine without it for years now (i really kind of expect Macrium Reflect to have installed this, because the date correlates exactly with when i installed Macrium, and otherwise it makes little sense this "service" would just install randomly by itself) So how do i get rid of it, how is the service for "Microsoft Edge webview2 runtime" called exactly, cause i cant find it in services? Sure there's a small chance uninstalling will do the trick, but i kinda doubt its that easy...

I removed the webview2 runtime, which also disappeared from Autoruns, but it didn’t resolve the flashing colors in Paint 3D. Another adjustment I made was turning on Nvidia Ultra low latency mode—could this be the cause? I’m unsure if changing it would help, so I’ll test it carefully without making too many random changes. Additionally, I’ve seen the “Updateability from SMC” process in Task Manager for a few days; it seems connected to these issues too. I might try resetting Paint 3D first before checking further.
