I'm replacing the HDD with an SSD in my Mac and need guidance on reinstalling macOS. I'm not concerned about starting from the newest version right away, since I can simply update later. Just let me know how to complete the installation after the setup is finished. Thanks!

Turn it on with the new drive, press Command-Option-R during startup to enter Internet Recovery. When using Wi-Fi, it asks to connect to a network; with Ethernet it proceeds directly. After several minutes of downloading and booting, it launches the macOS installer. You can format the drive in Disk Utility and install macOS via the installer, which requires an internet connection. If you don’t have one available, you can generate a USB installer within your current macOS installation.
