I needed to change the format of the main storage drive and moved my hard drives. I installed Windows on the SSD and then reinstalled the old drives. After that, I downloaded Steam, but I’m having trouble placing the game files in the correct Steam folder since they’re still on the original hard drive.

Here are several alternatives: shift the files from the shared directory or simply execute the previous setup with admin privileges.

Usually I simply press "install" on Steam, and if the Steam games folder is connected properly, it will locate the files and add the game to the list. If you must adjust the path, follow these steps: Open the "Steam" menu at the top-left corner of Steam, select "Settings," then go to "Downloads" and click the first button in the new window to pick the folders Steam should use

Set up a new directory for your games, pick the desired location as the new library, and transfer all game folders into it.

I need to reinstall every game since Steam can't read them, so I'm forced to do it all over again.
