You can perform an in-place Windows recovery or repair where you choose to keep or remove settings, files, and installed programs. I strongly recommend a complete fresh installation from the beginning. It might seem challenging if you must back up data and reinstall games and applications, but a new setup is better than retaining outdated files, particularly after upgrading through multiple versions like 8 to 10 to 11. Once your current Windows 11 license is active, create a bootable USB using the MS tool, boot from it, clear all partitions on your main drive, and proceed with the fresh install.
