how to overclock the cpu on an asus essentio cm5571
I've been searching for a solution to it for a while but couldn't find it. How would you go about doing this?
There is no built-in support for overclocking.
However, ASUS pre-built models usually come with standard retail motherboards, which might allow you to find a BIOS update that works and enables overclocking.
Download or run CPU-Z and check the model number under the "mainboard" section at https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html.
The Essentio used C2D's at best IIRC, so overclocking probably won't give you much benefit... but if you're interested, figuring out which motherboard is installed would be a good first step.

The model listed is "CM5571," and in the BIOS I found an option called "asus ez flash 2" that allowed me to update my BIOS via USB.
I’m unsure how to enable overclocking for my Pentium E5400.
