Hi, I understand you're setting up your system with the FX 6300 and GBGA-970A-DS3P motherboard, adding a GTX 1070, and want to overclock the CPU without causing damage. I can offer some guidance on how to proceed carefully.

Usually on your board I recommend a moderate OC around 4.5 GHz, a bit higher than the stock.
Use a voltage of 1.45000V and keep temperatures below 71°C.
Check stability with 30 standard IBT runs, re-evaluating temperatures. If issues arise, increase in small steps to 0.0125V up to 1.50V, or adjust to 4.4 GHz if needed.
A solid test case would be: disable turbo, Cool and Quiet, C6, C1E, HPC, set multi to 22.0x FSB 200 MHz, VCore at 1.45000V with LLC Medium.

it's not too difficult to search for information online. there are many guides available on how to do it.

disable "cool nquiet", and turbo boost before any overclocking. go through your bios and increase the multiplier gradually until your pc becomes unstable, meaning it fails a stress test. perform this check after each adjustment to the multiplier. i would use a tool like occt once the multiplier reaches its maximum stable setting and the system is stable. then you can consider boosting the cpu voltage. another factor to think about is your cooler—what model do you have? i wouldn’t push beyond 3.8-4.0 with the stock cooler. my 6300 runs at 4.5ghz at 2.8 volts. have fun.
