How to over clock GPU/CPU?
I'm completely new to overclocking. I own an FX 8350 and a Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme, and I plan to upgrade them in the future. I already have a Gigabyte 990fx-ud3 motherboard and an Enermax T40 CPU cooler. My goal is to push the CPU to 4.4 to 4.5ghz and the GPU up to at least 1800mhz. I have an EVGA Super Nova NEX 650w PSU, and I think I have good airflow in the case (Crystal 570x). I’m thinking about adding another fan later. A power supply calculator said my current setup uses 526w. Do any of these changes seem doable without damaging anything? If yes, how should I go about it? I’d also appreciate some videos or discussions to help. Oh, and I use a flat-screen TV as my monitor—it tends to black screen when trying to use BIOS, so I’ll switch to MSI Afterburner and AMD Overdrive for overclocking.
Don't try to speed up your video card since the CPU is the main issue.
I'd use the BIOS to boost the CPU instead of relying on software.
TVs aren't suitable for good monitors.

As @gasaraki mentioned, unless you're planning to play at 4K resolutions (or maybe 1440p at 120+Hz), your CPU will limit your performance, making it unnecessary to overclock the GPU. If you still wish to attempt it, you can use the MSI Afterburner app (free to download and compatible with all manufacturers' GPUs).
From a CPU perspective, it seems your motherboard includes an overclocking tool (same model as yours). But I suggest using AMD's Overdrive application instead (also free, works with all AMD CPUs).
