How to navigate backward one directory in the path string?
How to navigate backward one directory in the path string?
Yeah thanks.
My life would have been simpler if Microsoft had let us choose one path instead of always using the full path. Also, allowing us to create our own "virtual drives" that remain consistent. For instance, emulators: they point directly to the location I designate. Like, when I type Emulators in CMD, I end up exactly in F:\Folder1\Folder2\Folder3, just like a real drive. That would really solve everything. But Windows wouldn’t let me do such a straightforward thing. Unless there’s third-party software that can fix this or trick Windows somehow.
Holy crap... did I just answer my own question? Could virtual drives be the solution somehow? Or a virtual environment?
For this Project I'm planning to use a basic program named Link Fixer that allows me to update all paths within every shortcut in a folder at once. I'm not sure about the icons I added, but it seems like a simple and fast solution right now. And to keep things straightforward, I'll just place it on the C drive.
