Windows XP, some older Adobe programs... You probably don't have enough RAM for anything else. CPU-Wise it'll just be slow, nothing you can do about that.
It competes with my Tecra M5 using outdated Vista or Windows XP apps.

It offers an upgrade option, with panels positioned at the base for the HDD and RAM. The CPU demands you remove the laptop to reach those components.
Vintage computer parts... I have some thoughts on acquiring them, but I’m holding back. And yes, W10 isn’t quicker than Windows XP—it prefers more RAM.

NP, if you're working on 3D design, check out 3DS Max 7. It performed perfectly even on my old laptop. (It struggled more with my Pentium 4 and the Ati Mobility Radeon 9000IGP, both of which were slower than what your machine has.)
