To obtain a legitimate Vista product key, consider purchasing it directly from the official Microsoft website or authorized resellers. Avoid third-party sources to ensure compliance and support. Let me know if you need further guidance!

A few important details on eBay likely. That’s roughly all there is.

on eBay, some say it's not allowed to sell keys there, yet others sell them for extremely low prices, which is probably the most viable option

As mentioned, Ebay is a good place to start. If you're aiming for a physical copy, look for a Windows Vista disc either used or unused. Check if any used computer shops are still offering it, as they might be clearing out older or scrap PCs that still have the Windows keys. It's also a common source through many Ebay sellers.

Hard drives are typically intended for original equipment manufacturers. I purchased one myself since my sticker was too damaged. Selling or trading them in Germany/Europe is allowed.

I considered skipping that path but then realized I purchased Win10 Pro from the gray market for $65 and Cinema 4D 23 for $30.

It depends on how you value it. Five million copies could indicate strong demand or market impact, but worth also hinges on factors like pricing, competition, and your goals.

It appears you require an internet connection to function properly. Since you already have the key installed, the issue might be related to network settings or activation status. You may want to check your device's configuration or contact support for further assistance.

The issue is different; I only have a recovery CD that I can't locate, and I also swapped the motherboard. Probably I need to try using a Windows CD next.
