You're dealing with an ASUS PRIME X670E-PRO motherboard, and you're trying to confirm its AM5 compatibility. It seems the mounting details for the cooler aren't clear from your research. I don't see any videos or guides addressing this specific setup. Have you considered reaching out to ASUS support or checking their official documentation for the latest mounting instructions?

Adhere to the AM4 setup instructions—it will match exactly. You must take out those clips, after which install the correct mounting plates onto the stock backplate.

The instructions don’t require the standard mounting kit. You’ll need to use the custom one. Simply read the directions carefully. The cooler contains all the necessary components.

Thanks for the feedback. The images for AM4 appear to function, but the instructions are in Chinese, which isn’t helpful.

Thermalright items offer excellent worth, though the guidelines might improve. Fortunately, AM4 and AM5 manuals match when the cooler uses the original bracket. Nice to hear it’s functioning!

It's just a short-term issue at the moment... My laptop stopped working recently, so I'm putting together what I can afford right now and planning a big cooling upgrade soon. I hope it can manage the 7950X in the near future.

Running it in Eco mode at 105W works well without noticeable loss in performance. For fine-tuning, adjust the PBO power settings to a suitable level and pair them with an undervolt strategy—this can unlock full performance or even surpass the original specs without needing new cooling hardware. I own a 5900X paired with a Scythe Fuma 2, and after applying an undervolt while operating at 90% of stock power, I achieve complete multicore efficiency.

Looks like you're considering saving energy by skipping intense tasks. The current price per unit is really high.
