I bought the USB WiFi adapter rtl8188ftv and it was detected automatically in Windows with vendor ID 0bda and product ID f179. Now everyone is talking about it on GitHub at https://github.com/kelebek333/rtl8188fu. I thought it was my issue, but after installing the drivers, the WiFi worked fine. The only issue was with the monitor mode—maybe the drivers don’t support it. I tried various drivers but nothing helped. Do you know any alternative solutions? Also, I’m running Kalilinux on VirtualBox.

Confirmed the USB connection was successful. The IP address output from ip addr shows the virtual machine's network details.

If I installed the kelebek333 drivers, the Wi-Fi adapter appears in Kali Linux but isn’t recognized as a monitor. It seems the adapter might work with monitor mode, yet the drive itself doesn’t respond.

Do you have any suggestions on finding updated drivers for RTL8188F? I'm using Kali Linux 2020.1 (OVA) and the kernel isn't supported yet. Should I roll back Kali or look for newer versions? Thanks ahead!
