How to increase the speed of G.Skill RAM?

I have a rather curious question 😅 I'm just starting out with overclocking and I understand the basics of hardware, but actually doing it was quite a distant experience...
Now I've tried it and it works pretty well... Sorry if this seems like a simple question:
I have g.skill 3200 with specs 16-18-18-18-38 and it was running at 1.35, which is a bit below the original spec.
Now I discovered it can actually work for me.
I found a configuration of 3800 - 1900 bus, 18-21-21-21-40 and it's stable!
Do you think I should try lower frequencies? Like going to lower timings? I was told by a tech at work to stick with 18-18-18-38, but I don't think that's the cheapest option.
This RAM could potentially get even better performance 😂
I completely forgot about my system specs:
Ryzen 5 5500
Asus TUF B450M
G.skill 2*8 3200 (overclocking now)
RX 3070 FE
800w PSU with good cooling inside the case: 4*140mm, 1*120mm fans, 3*140 intake, 1*140 and 1*120 out...
Nothing extreme 1.35.
psu is Zalman bronze I don't know how I checked a decent one, I'm sure 3070 won't need more than 650 …
Ram chips are available and the superior ones are preferred for faster performance (higher cost). You might just be lucky.
Check your RAM by running memtest86 or memtest86+.

Performing multiple full tests usually reveals problems, though it requires more time.
Unless you strongly suspect a RAM issue, it’s probably not worth the effort.
I did the overclocking and it functioned properly. It seems stable, and it's a solid improvement. Going further will need rethinking the timing settings since only the primary ones have been adjusted so far. Many secondary and tertiary timings remain untouched, which could significantly impact memory performance beyond just increasing speeds or changing primaries. I should look for RAM overclock videos from Actually Hardware Overclocking (buildzoid), as he provides detailed information about Samsung and SkHynix RAM, including requirements, limits, best practices, and clarifications on technical terms. You’ll likely need tools like Thaiphoon Burner or Zen Timings, and possibly other resources, before proceeding further—depending on the specifics you need.
