How to increase the performance of my display
I attempted to increase the overclocking of my 1080p monitor using a VGA cable today and reached 75Hz. However, some individuals claim that VGA cannot exceed 1080p60Hz, suggesting the NVIDIA control panel might not be displaying the correct settings or if it is indeed possible.
Well then, your monitor can't handle that performance. If 75 is the maximum it can do, that's the top overclock you'll achieve. You can't just increase refresh rates without boundaries, or else no one would be interested in a 144hz.
It seems like you're experiencing a black screen when the system isn't working.
It's possible your display detects some kind of instability and halts it to prevent damage. I adjusted it to 75 and let it run. 85hz is quite high for a 60hz monitor.
