You can shut down the system, add the thumb drive containing Windows, restart and check for the prompt. Press any key when asked to install. If it doesn’t appear, navigate to BIOS and boot from the thumb drive.

I had to configure the boot options during the BIOS setup. The main storage drive was formatted. I removed the HP section. I’ll update you once I have more details. The gods are watching.

It seems to be working better now. It's still quite slow compared to an SSD and 2017 expectations. I've tried dumping my iPhone 6 on it, but I don't think selling it is a good idea. I'm not sure about keeping it, though—I might use it just to watch Twitch chat until I can afford Windows 10 on my main computer so I can set up dual monitors.
