You're dealing with a legacy Intel Pentium Silver N5030 chip from the mobile lineup, which is showing TVB throttling in ThrottleStop. Since your current processor is outdated, you may need to consider upgrading or using firmware tweaks to mitigate the issue.

The temperatures climb up to 70°C, which is acceptable for a laptop. However, TVB disrupts the gaming session by throttling the CPU to just 398MHz.

He wasn’t able to assist me because I don’t have the same type of CPU—mobile ones are only found on laptops.

Lack of full Intel docs and a N5030 means I can't assist further. ThrottleStop might be misreporting, possibly similar to BD PROCHOT throttling. Not sure how to disable it on this model.

Well, throttlestop might assist but the 70°C throttling persists. I also capped the boost frequency at 1.5GHz for cooling reasons. It doesn’t seem to be BD PROCHOT throttling since after turning it off on throttlestop the issue remained similar.

I’m aware of just a few other tools that could assist, though I can’t guarantee anything. QuickCpu is one option. The downloads are located near the bottom of the page. https://coderbag.com/product/quickcpu Hope this helps!

It seems the system is working well overall, except for the lack of a way to turn off TVB. The advanced CPU settings only include turbo boost and a few speed-related options. I've checked everything, but it doesn't seem to solve the throttling issue. Appreciate you trying to help me troubleshoot!

You just changed the system power plan to "high performance" and clicked the small "set as active" button next to the dropdown. It usually locks in the highest c-state. This works across different Intel CPUs and platforms, including AMD systems too. It definitely turns off core parking, so you don’t need to edit the registry manually. The only third-party app I’m aware of that does this is yours. Good luck!

Besides changing my power plan to high performance and turning off BD PROCHOT, the main issue was similar except for reduced throttling to 398Mhz. Thanks again @Guest 5150
