I agree with you. I obtained it from the official site (link shared earlier), and I managed to set it up, install it, and run the program. There were no Windows warnings except for the setup requesting elevation permission, which is typical. Another possibility is that a system tweak tool or registry changes were used to modify the GPO associated with this. Unfortunately, I’m not sure which GPO was altered. I’m more interested in whether a new admin local account was created and tested, or if there was a system-wide restriction.

Previous attempts to fix it haven't helped, and the error remains consistent with what others reported. It seems the issue might be related to a recent update or compatibility problem between the installer and Windows.
If you are trying to install Streamlabs OBS and get the blocked by administrator warning then do the following: can you move the installer to your c-drive directly and rename it to streamlabs+OBS+Setup+0.11.15 (leave .exe if you have enabled to show file extensions) then open command prompt (cmd.exe) as administrator and type or paste (by right-click) the following: c:\streamlabs+OBS+Setup+0.11.15.exe and hit enter. This is a known issue which the developers are investigating to resolve.

Sync with Microsoft servers. Restart your computer. If you rely on a different antivirus besides Windows Defender, turn it off or uninstall it. Download the program from: https://streamlabs.com/slobs/download and attempt installation. Let me know if you need alternatives.

05-18-2024, 01:19 AM #16Workaround suggested for Streamlabs OBS installation issue. Move the installer to your C drive, rename it accordingly, and run the command prompt as admin. Enter the updated path to launch OBS. This problem is being actively addressed by the developers, with a fix expected soon.
