I need to sift through the game files, locate the actual files, and transform them into .ytf, .ytd, and hi.ytd formats.

It's unclear if car models can be pulled from Real Racing. However, converting 3D files from Project Cars to GTA5 format might be possible only if modders respond.

He modified the Regera from RR3 using a modification from gta5-mods.

Just check with the person. Also, RR3 works on Android, maybe it was simpler to locate the files there compared to the iPhone version.
