How to correctly connect the ASUS Prime RX 9070 XT OC.

I switched to team red and got the RX 9700 xt OC version. I have a SeaSonic GX 750W Gold PSU with two 8 PCIe cables, both with daisy chains or pigtails. I’ve used these on my RTX 3080 without any problems. The RX 9700 xt has three 8 PCIe connectors. What should I do? Should I be able to daisy chain or pigtail one of the cables, or do I need a new cable or an extra one? The main issue is that I can’t get these parts in my country for weeks...
As far as I know, both the 3080 and 9700xt have similar power consumption, right? The 9700 xt actually draws a bit less than the 3080.
Edit: I’ve been checking forums, but opinions are split—some say yes to daisy chaining, others say no. But technically, if each cable provides 150W and the RX 9700 xt needs around 300W, shouldn’t it be fine?
