Hi. I'm curious about the best settings for my 3200Mhz cl14(14-14-14-34) with 2x8GB RAM (g.skill/b-die). I'm using an Asus TUF x570 with Wi-Fi and a 3700x. There are many unclear points, mostly starting with "t". I don't intend to overclock the CPU, but I'm interested in running it at 3400 or 3600MHz. I'd also like to configure it through the BIOS without any extra software. Please let me know if I missed anything. Thanks ahead.

Adjusted the device to the 3200 Mhz DOCP profile, modified the individual Memory Frequency to 3400 MHz, and checked for booting.

You could simply open my bio and turn on XMP settings. This will configure your RAM to match the rated speeds and timings listed for your memory module.

If you truly wish to customize your RAM, I recommend using Thaiphoon Burner to view your RAM details and then enter them into the DRAM Calculator Version 1.6.0.3. Check out the announcement here: https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threa...rk.255229/ Version 1.70 is available for download at: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ryz...alculator/ This update includes the ability to read current RAM information. Forums. Avoid assuming this will be a simple task; you must adjust one or more settings gradually, test the RAM afterward, and perform a System Stability check after each change. It took me roughly a week to achieve stable Max CPU and Max RAM OC.

If you're interested in boosting RAM performance, I suggest checking out my Ryzen memory overclocking guides in my signature. Stabilizing RAM can be a lengthy process. It's best to stick with your XMP profile or consider replacing your RAM with a faster model if you truly wish to overclock the DRAM. You might also experiment by raising your memory speed to 3400mhz and increasing the DRAM voltage to 1.4v, but ensure proper stabilization.

Thank you, but I'm not ready for that... Perhaps later. For now, I just need a fairly stable system.
Cheers.

I dont think theres any XMP in the bios. But theres something called DOCP.Would i be able to run it at a bit higher speed than the advertised?Inf.Fabric is set to 3600?I guess that would be a "smart" speed to run at?
Thanks.

Sorry, I missed some AMD boards refer to DOCP, which is the same as XMP just with a different name.

I would start by testing 3200 Mhz and check for stability, then move to 3400 Mhz by adjusting the frequency and raising the DRAM voltage to 1.37 or 1.38 V (without changing timings) to verify stability as well.

If you truly needed 3600 Mhz RAM, you should purchase a compatible 3600 Mhz unit.

The place I shop at only had cl18 for 3600 hours, so I got the 3200 cl14. It should be faster based on what I’ve learned. Please try my tip.
Edit: I only have one docp profile—does that matter? Can I create another? Thanks.
