When multiple windows are active in Opera and you right-click the task bar icon to close one, it only closes that specific window. If you want to maintain several windows open, there must be another method to manage them. Thank you

Would you like to open a new browser? Or a new window? Or perhaps a new tab?

Are you running more than one browser, such as Opera? How are you interacting with the windows?

If you have several windows open in one session of Opera, closing that session will close all the open windows.

Do you understand that you should keep multiple instances of Opera running, each with only one window open at a time?

This allows you to close individual windows while keeping others accessible.
Additional clarification required.

I just wish Opera would let me resume exactly where I left off, especially with multiple tabs across several windows. That works in Chrome and Firefox but not in Opera. I use Firefox for daily tasks and games, Chrome for school, and Edge for streaming services like Netflix and HBO. I prefer Opera only for gaming because it uses up a lot of space and distracts me in Firefox. My ADHD makes it hard to stay focused, so I need clear separation between tasks.

Alternatively, you can explore related topics by searching for phrases like "opera how to restore earlier session." Adjust the keywords accordingly to refine your results.

There are some extra choices to consider.
Check for relevant information online about saving sessions in Opera browser.
It might require some testing and adjustments to maintain your sessions active.
You could also look into specific limitations that affect session storage.
Are you using multiple monitors?
This might allow you to organize sessions into different areas (games, school, leisure) on the same device.
Saving complete sessions isn't always possible, but it can help manage general usage.

Pressing quit with ctrl+shift+x closes multiple windows. Opening it again will reopen the same windows and tabs.
