I just set up the game and it needs me to create an ISO file that forms a partition in Windows matching the needed size. However, I needed to add a plugin into the mounted folder which is too small. I’m looking for ways to adjust the drive size so the plugin can fit.

Usually mounted ISOs rely solely on virtual drives. They don’t form partitions; the ISO acts like a disc. If you want to change the ISO to include additional features, that’s the approach. In short, this setup isn’t common and isn’t about piracy—are you sure?

Really, someone gave me an X-Plane 11 DVD. Because I didn’t have a physical disc reader on my computer, I asked another person to make an ISO file of the game, thinking it might run if I installed it in a virtual drive. But it didn’t work.

You'd still need to set it up and maybe secure it in place. The picture is merely a visual file. Inserting a disc during playback would represent an early DRM method. Therefore, copying a disc likely wouldn't need additional modifications to the disc itself.

I understand the disc copy should be ready without extra files. However, I needed a third-party plugin that lets the mouse function as a joystick without having to mimic it like vJoy. The plugins folder would have to come from the disc image. Eventually, I found a solution using some external software. Unfortunately, the game still doesn't work properly.
