It's a PC built for performance, featuring a SkyFire / MSI GE40 platform.
Detailed specifications are listed below:
14" display with 1920×1080 resolution (16.7m colors, IPS, matte finish with WLED backlight) powered by BOE NV140FHM-N62 panel.
MSI MS-1492 motherboard.
Intel Core i7-4712MQ (4C8T, 37W) from 2014.
One 8 GB DDR3L-1600 RAM module (PC3-12800) from Kingston ValueRAM, SO-DIMM, non-ECC, CL11.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M graphics card (2 GB VRAM, 40W) from 2014.
Samsung 840 EVO SSD (120 GB, SATA III, 2.5") from 2013.
Western Digital Black HDD (750 GB, SATA III, 7,200 RPM) from 2013.
Killer E2200 Gigabit Ethernet adapter (2013).
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260HMW (Wi-Fi 5 802.11ac + Bluetooth 4.0) from 2013.
Realtek ALC269 audio device (2009).
Three MP webcam unit.
Built-in 2-in-1 memory card reader supporting SD and MMC formats.
Six-cell lithium-ion battery.
90W AC power adapter.
My assessment is that despite the CPU being surpassed by more affordable mid-range laptops today, the GPU still outperforms most Intel iGPUs and AMD Vega iGPUs, even with its 2 GB VRAM.

Where you sell it greatly influences its value. So...where are you located, and where could you be selling it? But a 10-year-old laptop...not as valuable as you think...

UK is likely the platform, and I'm considering a price of £150.

Yeah, I didn't catch it at first...
😉
£150 could be a fit.
On fleabay, aim for at least £100 and check the outcome.
The issue with a 10-year-old laptop is its outdated battery.

You can look for Lenovo or Dell laptops on eBay UK by matching the production year to see current sale prices.
