I don't agree with that. It seems like you're aiming for a Titan X SLI setup to run Crysis 3 smoothly at over 90 fps in 4K resolution. I believe a couple of years would likely be sufficient.

They believe Quad Titan Xs will handle the task. To match the current 1440 rate, it would take roughly 3 to 5 years before it becomes practical.

I'm planning for next year. We're getting a 3440x1440 display at 144hz soon, and upgrading to 4K isn't a huge jump from here.
