how many people managed to get a ryzen 5000 cpu
I received a 5600X but am feeling uncertain about it. I checked various benchmarks and noticed minimal variation between the 7,370X and the 5600X. It’s going to be tomorrow, so I’ll just compare the two now.
I have order confirmation for ryzen 9 5950x, no shipping confirmation yet. I may be waiting for restock before it ships, I at least have place in line in. Plan to use with 5700xt, it can max out my monitor when gaming, I have a lot of cpu intensive programs that have low gpu needs. And tend to do things like have multiple monitors with other programs running when gaming. I'll probably upgrade gpu once 8gb vram becomes issue, so radeon vii would be better then 3080 in my oddball use case. So may go with rdna2 later or skip the gpu generation for hopper/rdna3. Update, got email saying backorder. They took money and are shipping when they get a restock.
I believed I had a 5800 model available, though it was listed as in stock during checkout—probably switched to pre-order when I checked. The item isn’t showing on the site, but I have my confirmation email. Sad about it; maybe I’ll try the 5600x instead since my local one still has them.
I placed a pre-order for a 5800X at B&H about five minutes prior to its release. It’s presently on backorder and will be allocated based on first-come, first-served. I’m hoping to secure one before the 6800XT arrives.
I tried to purchase a 5900x this morning. I was prepared right away once it became available. I had it saved in my card, but mistakenly included the Newegg warranty option. While I was taking the time to cancel the warranty and complete the payment, it disappeared from stock—likely within five seconds.
They remain in stock at my local shop in Slovenia, though the prices are higher. - 5600x equals 433e - 5800x equals 663e - 5900x is sold out - 5950x equals 1150e so I’ll hold off until they drop
