Start by checking the link provided and read it yourself. I created this discussion for those assembling new PCs who are advised to use Windows 8.1 from g2a.com and avoid scams. Also see the safe purchase guide on eightforums.

I’ll summarize what you just mentioned. Most keys, possibly the G2A ones, come from colleges and expire after four years. They aren’t allowed for resale. That’s not really my concern, but if you’re not following the proper process, why not just copy them at that point? Either way, Microsoft loses money, but bootlegging doesn’t generate revenue through illegal sales of educational or spec keys. It doesn’t make sense to pay for what is essentially counterfeit software. I have even stronger objections toward individuals who distribute or sell bootleg software for business purposes or resell it illegally compared to those who pirate it for personal use.

I wouldn't risk it; I'd purchase it directly from Microsoft or an authorized vendor.

They're probably going to end up expiring soon, my friend.

Certainly, though it’s accurate. Until then... I also question whether major manufacturers can access Windows at such an affordable rate through this platform. It seems unrealistic, don’t you think?

Absolutely confirmed these are MSDN keys. Clearly unlawful. Keep folks away from this. It's essentially piracy with added fraud elements.

Their argument gains weight from minimal engagement and accusations of danger, not from widespread support. Disappointing for you!

I’ve found out for myself. They function, although they aren’t legally binding.
