Hey, your RAM seems to be acting up when you play games. You mentioned trying fixes like adding virtual memory, turning off unnecessary services, and editing the registry, but it still doesn’t help. Also, you said you don’t have VRAM problems. What might be causing this?

You're running low on memory, but GTA V is still loading. It doesn't seem like the issue is RAM.

You have 3GB of standby memory, as expected. What else are you using?

i5 4440 with 3.10ghz, 8GB RAM, 1600MHz, R9 380, 4GB memory causes FPS drops at 3GB usage.

I can't take a picture directly. But I can help you capture one without running any games if you provide more details.

There could be some unusual activity happening. Your computer is using more than 3GB of RAM when idle, which is higher than what I've ever seen. I'm not entirely sure, but it might be due to a recent fresh Windows installation and clearing the CMOS battery to remove any leftover files in the BIOS. Having only 5GB of RAM in GTA V could be causing the stutter since your system is consuming 3GBs without reason. I'm not certain, but someone with more experience might be able to assist.

Great job resetting your BIOS, it's working smoothly now. Also, I usually restart the standby mode using Rammap.

You can inquire about the reason behind the standby reset. It’s stored as cached data, which helps with quick access later. Deleting it would likely impact performance, so you’re right to be concerned.

I recommend avoiding any RAM-related tweaking tools, including cache or virtual RAM software, unless you're very confident about your actions—adjustments can be risky and hard to fix. If the issue continues, back up your important files in a different location, erase the OS partition, and reinstall Windows. I think this might be connected to the RAM software interfering with things unexpectedly.
