How far should I overclock
How far should I overclock
i have an i5 6600k and an asus z170-e mb. i managed to reach 4.5ghz at 1.350v, which seems like a good starting point. however, since every chip is different, you might achieve better results than me.
adjust your multiplier to 45x and set the voltage manually at 1.350.
note: change the llc to 5, and disable speed step and c-states if they are active.
if stress testing proves stable, gradually lower the voltage by 0.010 until it works.
or raise it again if necessary.
i would prefer not to go to 1.400v, as it depends on temperature stability.
too hot? try 44x and reduce voltage.
right now i'm at 42x and 1.200v for continuous use.
