Hello
I'm using an ASUS VivoBook X415JA with Windows 11. It has a USB C port on the left side. I can connect peripherals like an Ethernet adapter or add extra USB-A ports, and everything works fine.
However, I'm having trouble connecting a USB-C to USB-A cable to link two devices, such as my Surface Pro 4, for file transfers. The device doesn't even detect that it's connected.

you should consider using a bridging cable, USB link cable, or something similar
preferably opt for Wi-Fi direct, Bluetooth, or Ethernet
