How do you update the bios in the P5WD2-E Premium?
Boot from MS-DOS with a floppy drive. Insert an empty floppy, right-click it on your computer, and select format. Open the MS-DOS boot menu first, then format the disk. On another disk, install AFUDOS and the .rom file you downloaded. Restart to the floppy (adjust BIOS settings if needed). When prompted, eject the boot disk and insert the AFUDOS floppy. At the DOS prompt, type:
AFUDOS /i[biosromname.rom]
This will update your BIOS. If the BIOS ROM name is BIOS0709.rom, the command should be:
AFUDOS /iBIOS0709.rom
Remember, there should be no space between i and the ROM name. Consider backing up your current BIOS before proceeding.

I'm having trouble updating my bios too. I'm trying to install RAID on my PC for the p5wd2e-premium motherboard. I need to use different update files from the ASUS website—one is WD2EP0604.ROM and another is AFU236U, which seems different from the AFUDOS I got from the motherboards CD-ROM. I followed the manual instructions carefully and the forum guidance, but when the system tries to read the file name from my floppy driver, it gives an error saying it can't open the .rom file. For the AFU236U file, it mentions the size doesn't match what's in the bios. Could you help? Thanks.
