I need to rely on Photoshop and other essential tools for my studies. While I really enjoy GIMP, it doesn’t match Photoshop’s capabilities. Unfortunately, I’m not very comfortable with Linux, and setting up Windows has been challenging. Please, tech experts, share your advice on how to proceed.

Consider using Windows 10 instead of Windows 8.1. Launch virtualBox or Virtual Machine Manager and install a Windows VM. You’ll find it easier to set up a virtual machine this way.

even if I'm not completely confident my PC can handle the VM, I might still give it a shot.

Switch to Operating Systems *** VM or dual-boot. Or use emulation; there are no real magic solutions.
