Looking for ways to remove McAfee from your Windows 8.1 setup? It seems you're having trouble locating the uninstall option, especially since your laptop came with it preinstalled. You might want to check the Windows Update settings or use a trusted uninstaller tool. If you need further help, let me know!

Follow the same steps used for Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8—right-click and uninstall. For Metro apps, simply right-click the app and select uninstall.

I understand your frustration, especially with W8—it often took a while to locate the alternative shutdown method.

The simplest method is to click the right-click icon on your Windows symbol, previously called Start Menu > Programs and Features.
