I can't locate the correct settings. You're unsure if you're logged in and your sleep pattern is unpredictable. To change inactive hours manually, try adjusting them directly in the app or settings menu.

Configure your network to operate as a limited connection in Internet Settings for Windows, preventing automatic downloads or installations until you authorize it.

After installing an update, manually restart the system. Usually it only auto-updates after a sufficient time. Typically, just one set of updates per month requires a reboot too.

Windows 10 doesn’t restart automatically unless you allow it. Setting up active hours or enabling a prompt for updates in Advanced options lets Windows restart itself. You can also manually restart or update using the Alt+F4 option from Desktop or the Start Menu. Updated August 27, 2020 by PorkishPig

I just opened my eyes and immediately hit Alt+F4 to check its effects. I understand what Alt+F4 does. Time to grab a cup of coffee.

Yes, there is a real Shut Down Windows option available. You can reach it by pressing Alt+F4 from the Desktop.

Simply power down the computer during the night, and it will refresh automatically when you restart it.

My pattern keeps changing, I’m unsure what tomorrow will bring. I might stay awake, but there’s no easy fix. In XP it was straightforward—just update and ask when to restart. Now it feels confusing and unclear.
