I see your point, but the numbers from speedtest.net don’t match what I’m seeing locally. Even in Task Manager, my connection speed is around 100 Mb/s. It seems this issue isn’t fixable with the tools I have. Still, I’m curious about the method behind speedtest.net’s performance boost. If I can achieve similar speeds on other servers, it might help with file transfers.

I'm working with Thorium, a fork of Chromium. The browser isn't important; performance remains consistent across different browsers and even on Linux. I've tested using just applications and software on Linux as well.

I recently discovered a way to enable multiple connections, but it hasn’t improved performance. Programs that were set to use multiple connections by default still didn’t download faster.

You've already discussed this, but perhaps I wasn't precise enough. The connection speed you're using might exceed the limits set by your ISP's traffic rules. ISPs offering boost modes are especially notable for this. It's straightforward for your ISP to establish different speed test limits for its servers compared to other locations.

As mentioned earlier, after traffic exits the ISP’s network, its speed relies on the connected network. More than that, my experience suggests speeds can be up to 20% higher if the ISP’s system supports it. I think this comes from both network enhancements and the speed test server linked to their infrastructure.
