How do i overclock asus gtx 960 4gb?
So I finally attempted overclocking on my GPU, but I'm not sure if I made a mistake. xD
I ran a benchmark on 3dmark firestrike and it looks stable. However, what worries me is that both my GPU voltage and power target are near their maximum limits (1212 out of 1213 and 98% power). Is this problematic? And if so, what should I do?
PUBG isn't fully optimized yet, possibly causing heavy GPU strain. While benchmarks pass, crashes still occur in games. Reducing your clock speeds can resolve the issue. The settings seem acceptable, though I might be losing some core clock speed for slightly lower core voltage.
The power target reaching its maximum simply indicates the card is close to its power limit, which is acceptable as long as cooling remains effective. Regarding voltage, third-party overclocking tools won't cause damage but might increase heat beyond optimal levels. What software are you employing for overclocking? Could you share a screenshot of the current settings?
Robert Cook explains that reaching the power target indicates the card is close to its maximum, which is acceptable as long as cooling remains effective. He mentions that third-party overclocking tools won’t damage the card but might increase its temperature beyond optimal levels. He asks about the specific overclocking software in use and requests a screenshot of the current settings. Robert also notes experiencing occasional crashes during gameplay in PUGB, which seems unusual.
