I require substantial assistance with a current issue. I recently discovered my old Xbox 360’s hard drive, containing numerous cherished Minecraft worlds from several years ago, and I wish to transfer them to my computer for replay. (These worlds are approximately 7-6 years old.)

I have connected the hard drive to my PC; I observe it rotating, yet it’s not appearing within the “My PC” > “Devices and Drives” section. I have verified all cable connections and initiated the BIOS, confirming that my motherboard recognizes the device; however, upon returning to Windows, it remains invisible.

Within Device Manager, I locate the drive, but it’s not accessible, and I cannot retrieve any files. I have explored Disk Management and noticed that the drive was initially set to “offline,” which I changed, but this action didn't resolve the issue. The drive now displays all its capacity as unallocated, which is anticipated, but I am hesitant to modify it further, fearing potential formatting and data loss.

What steps should I take? How can I make the drive visible and enable file access? I’m considering whether it might be feasible to simulate an Xbox 360 operating system on my PC and then access the files through that environment. Any guidance would be extremely valuable.

I do not own an Xbox One, and my best idea is to inquire if any friends might possess an Xbox 360. I could connect my drive to their console and then transfer the data that way.
