It’s because it isn’t getting enough power. You might adjust the CPU by changing its basic settings to speed it up, but doing so would use more electricity, generate more heat, and cause issues.

It explains the different values based on settings and defaults. The listed range reflects adjustable power limits while the standard is a fixed 15W. The mention of cTDP clarifies how it adapts to configurations.

I turned off AMD PowerNow! in the BIOS and noticed it's consuming more power now. It appears to be using a higher amount of energy, especially when the browser is open, reaching up to 11 watts. This behavior hasn't happened before.

Disabling the four threads could also improve performance, allowing the remaining cores to operate more efficiently. It’s not just about turning off some threads but optimizing how the CPU utilizes its full capacity.

Turning off multithreading typically results in about a 20% performance drop according to Intel. I’m unsure how AMD handles it, but losing four threads might slow things down further. It could go either way—leaving multithreading on or disabling two cores. My goal is faster processing, but it’s unclear which approach will help.
