I set up a standard 16:9 window for recording using Microsoft PowerToys, which allows me to capture 1440x2560 at 1080p and it works fine. However, the overlay bar is still captured, preventing a clean borderless fullscreen look. I need to adjust the setup so that the output matches a standard 1920x1080p fullscreen video without any extra elements.

You can set the area captured by OBS, excluding the top part of the window. Refer to the guide at the provided link. For adjusting the game's aspect ratio without a top bar, use the "borderless window" setting in the game options. Keep in mind that this feature isn't available in every game; instead, opt for the "full-screen" option if you prefer no window bar above.
